Lacrosse was invented by First Nations communities and played long before modern equipment existed. Traditional games were intense, spiritual, and often lasted for days—played without helmets or protective gear.

Early iconic versions of helmets looked very different from what we see today—almost resembling the NOCSAE certification logo in shape and simplicity. Over time, as the sport evolved and safety standards were introduced, helmet design transformed dramatically.

Today’s helmets, like the Warrior Burn X, feature fast, bold designs that combine advanced protection with sleek aesthetics, built for the modern game.

A proper fit is critical for safety and comfort. The helmet should sit level on your head, covering the forehead without tilting forward or backward.
Finding the right fit starts with knowing your helmet size. Sizing is guided by your head circumference, so grab a tape measure and check the sizing guide before you buy.

Warrior offers two fit platforms:

Burn Platform: Sized in traditional Small, Medium, and Large options. Once you select your size, the BOA® dial system lets you fine-tune the fit with a simple twist for a secure, custom feel.

Burn X Platform: A One Size Fits Most (OSFM) design optimized for medium and large heads. To achieve the perfect fit, Burn X includes two sets of comfort pads in different thicknesses. These pads are heat-moldable, so they contour to your head shape for ultimate comfort.

Protection comes from a combination of shell strength, liner technology, and face coverage. Advanced helmets use shock absorption technologies to manage impacts from balls, sticks, and collisions. The goal is to reduce the force transmitted to your head while maintaining lightweight performance.
